You know that saying, “The first thought is always the truth”? Well, it kind of makes sense. Our gut reactions and instincts often tell us what’s right, even when all the evidence seems to say otherwise. Sometimes, evidence can be tricky and full of biases, so trusting our instincts can be a smarter move.

Instincts Are Powerful

Our instincts have been around forever, helping us survive. They let us make quick decisions without overthinking. When you meet someone for the first time, you get a feeling about them almost instantly. These gut feelings come from picking up on little clues and past experiences that we might not even realize. Sure, getting to know someone better can change our view, but those first thoughts are usually spot on.

Evidence Can Be Tricky

Sure, looking at evidence is important, but it’s not always perfect. Evidence can be biased or incomplete. Think about buying a car. You might read a ton of reviews and look at all the specs, but these can be influenced by marketing or biased opinions. Sometimes, your gut feeling about the car after a test drive tells you more than all the research.

Emotions Are Smart Too
